FIRST:

Open another window and send an email to yourself with the subject line, “How to Get Into the Wiki.” Put your Wiki sign-on and your password in the body of the email. (Somebody ALWAYS forgets, so you may as well be [[#|safe]], rather than sorry.)

SECOND:

  1. Add your personal page to the Wiki. This assignment is worth 100 process writing points and is due August 31 (MWF [[#|Classes]]) and September 4 (TR Class).
  2. Click the + symbol next to the Pages and Files link at the upper left column to create your page on the Wiki.
  3. Title your page with your first name and last initial. Use the first name that you want us to call you by (ex: Deb M).
  4. Upload your picture and a short Bio--just whatever you would like us to know about you.
  5. Click SAVE.
  6. Return to this page.
  7. Click the EDIT button at the top right of the page. A menu bar will appear along the top of the page.
  8. Find your name on the page.
  9. Use your cursor to highlight your name.
  10. Click the LINK button in the menu bar along the top of the page.
  11. Click CHOOSE AN EXISTING PAGE.
  12. Select the page you just created.
  13. Click ADD LINK.
  14. Check your new link by clicking VISIT.
  15. Click SAVE in the menu bar.

Very Important Note: ALWAYS check the document or link you have just uploaded. Seriously. A lot of things can go wrong (someone else's essay on your page, etc.)
